Troy Webster is a George Washington University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and a minor in Business. Among his many accomplishments throughout his high school and college career in the early to late 1980’s, Troy was most noted for his ability on the basketball court. He was drafted by the New Jersey Nets, National Basketball Association. However, now, he is making new strides by being most noted as a committed community servant, family man and business professional.
Troy is currently Aide to the Honorable Mayor Robert L. Bowser of East Orange, New Jersey and has vast experience in government and business. In his current position, Troy advises the Mayor and provides extensive professional assistance and recommendations on City issues to the Mayor and Department Directors. Troy is liaison to East Orange Public Schools as well as other community and government organizations, both on city and state levels. Prior to holding this position, Troy was interim City Business Administrator, Ombudsman for Redevelopment and Zoning Officer for the City of East Orange.
As a graduate of Clifford J. Scott High School in East Orange who has raised two children in the city’s public schools, Troy has a deep passion and commitment to our residents and business owners. Prior to his work at City Hall, Troy owned and operated Webster Construction, LLC and played a pivotal role in the construction and development of affordable housing and commercial space in the City of East Orange, Newark, Camden and Jersey City.
Troy is running on Line B for the Governor of the State of New Jersey to make New Jersey a better place for the working poor and middle class families who have been literally “thrown under the bus”.
Troy has been married to his wife, Siobhan, for over 24 years. They have two adult children, a son-in-law and two grandchildren. i. Ut vel libero a arcu mattis laoreet.
